Fancy a challenge in the operating theatre? We are currently seeking an experienced Major Orthopaedic Scrub Nurse or Practitioner to join our team on a temporary basis at Fairfield Independent Hospital in St Helens.

As a Major Orthopaedic Scrub - Lower Limb (Hips + Knees) specialist, you will be responsible for assisting during surgeries involving hip and knee replacements. This is a fast-paced and rewarding role that requires precision, attention to detail, and a genuine passion for helping patients through their surgical journey.

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing the operating theatre for procedures
• Sterilising and maintaining surgical equipment
• Assisting the surgical team during procedures
• Monitoring patients throughout surgery
• Providing post-operative care and support

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse or ODP with relevant qualifications
• Previous experience in major orthopaedic surgeries, specifically hips and knees
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Commitment to delivering high standards of care
